Randolph Brinkerhoff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meldrum Mortuary & Crematory - Mesa on Feb. 5, 2026.
Randolph Owens Brinkerhoff-beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend-passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 75. Randy lived a full, spirited life marked by hard work, laughter, music, and deep devotion to family.

Born on October 7, 1950, in Holbrook, Arizona, to Dono Chester Brinkerhoff and Gertrude Owens, Randy spent his life rooted in Arizona, calling Holbrook, Coolidge, Lake Havasu City, and Mesa home. From an early age, he embraced life with enthusiasm-playing guitar and singing, riding horses, and throwing himself into sports like baseball, basketball, and even a little football. His charisma shone early on as a high school prom king, and his competitive cowboy spirit earned him an All-Around Cowboy title in rodeo competition.

Randy was a natural builder in every sense of the word. Through the years, he owned several businesses and helped frame and build homes throughout the valley. Just as well-known as his craftsmanship was his quick wit, love of music, and his legendary habit of giving nicknames to just about everyone he met.

Later in life, Randy and his wife, Robin Barnes Hunt, made Mesa their home. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, and nothing made him happier than time spent with them. He was fiercely loyal, endlessly supportive, and fully devoted to his family-they were the heart of his days and the reason behind his steady determination and strength.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Robin Brinkerhoff; his brother, Troy Brinkerhoff; his sister-in-law, Darlene DeWitt Brinkerhoff; and his brother-in-law, Richard Tait.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Jonn Tyler (Heather) Brinkerhoff, Kirk Brinkerhoff, Genevie (Mithat) Evirgen, and Evani (Cameron) Atkinson, Kristy (Mark) Hutson; his grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden, Dax, Brewster, Ayla, Randy, Abigail, Thomas, Kaitlynn, Connor, and Bryce; and his sister, Deon Tait.

Services for Randy will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026. A viewing will take place at Meldrum Mortuary and Crematory, 52 N. McDonald, Mesa, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., followed by burial at Mesa Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. A memorial service will then be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 830 E. Lehi Road, Mesa.

In honor of Randy's generous spirit, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local food bank in his memory.
