Mr. Randolph “Bobie” Brooks was born on February 20, 1951, in Florence County South Carolina to the late Roland Brooks and Evelyn Brooks. He departed this life on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at McLeod Hospice House after a short illness.

Randolph attended the Public Schools of Florence County and was employed with R and R Carpet & Cleaning Services for many years working at McLeod Regional Medical Center, until his retirement. On June 15, 1974, he married Delores Douglas, mother of his three living daughters. Although born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, in August 1980, he relocated to New York City with his wife, children, and siblings. After a brief tenure, he returned to the comfort of his home town as the hustle and bustle of New York was too much for this Southern Gentleman to handle.

Randolph enjoyed taking care of his mother, before she gained her wings. He enjoyed all sports, from golf to football. In his spare time, when he wasn’t working or taking care of 1525 Palomar Parkway, he loved being with his friends and family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Jenell Douglas, Ruby Brooks and Tyressa Brooks (Damion, Sr.,) Hall; nine grandchildren, Donta Douglas, ShaVonna Hoyte, Sharelle Hoyte, ShaKoya Hoyte, Sanaa Montgomery, Xavier Stephens, Damion Hall Jr., Tyrese Hall and LaMarcus Hall; two great grandchildren, Dajon Douglas and Caleon Davis; one brother, George (Mary) Brooks; three sisters, Evelyn Evans , Joyce (David) Alexander and Janie (Bert) Bethea; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Evelyn Brooks; a daughter, Chrishelle Brooks; one sister, Grace Wallace; three brothers, William Rhodus, Roland Brooks and Theodore Brooks; and two best friends. Elijah Kennedy and David “Tiny” Kennedy.

Please keep the family of Randolph Brooks in your thoughts and prayers.
