Randolph Rader Obituary

RANDOLPH CLARK RADER, 69, of Dunbar, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Born on August 18, 1955, Randy lived a life marked by faith, service, and quiet dedication to the people and things he loved.
A proud 1973 graduate of Dunbar High School, Randy was a member of the school band and carried his love for music and community with him throughout his life. He began his career at the South Charleston stamping plant and later dedicated 30 years of service to NGK / Niterra Manufacturing, where his work ethic and reliability earned him deep respect.
Randy was a man of deep faith. He was a long-time member of Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church and, later, an active and beloved member of South Charleston First Church of the Nazarene. He served in leadership with Celebrate Recovery and found spiritual fellowship and purpose in home Bible study groups, including 24/7 and Eyes on Tomorrow.
Randy had a generous spirit and a servant's heart. He served on the Board of Directors for the Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department and was a proud member of the Dunbar Masonic Lodge. His dedication to growth both personal and literal was evident in his work as a Master Gardener and in the quiet joy he found caring for his cherished bonsai trees.
He is survived by his siblings, William Rader Jr., Angela Beil, and Cheryl Rader, and son, Jason Rader.
No services are planned at this time.
Condolences may be sent to his family at www.barlowbonsall.com.
Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I only knew Randy through the Master Gardener course, in particular his bonsai trees. Through this his love of all things natural and his passion for his bonsai was inspiring and humbling! He will be missed and his energy will live on in those he touched.

I´ve known Randy since childhood and all the way through school. Afterwards we worked on several events at NGK and visited at our Class of `73 events. Randy was always the same - wonderful, caring and just a straight-up person. Those are hard to find these days. R.I.P. my friend - you will be sorely missed... PEACE
