Randy Bentley

Randy Bentley, 64, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at his residence.

Born in Pikeville on March 25, 1961, he was the son of the late Hayse Bentley and the late Mirkie Thornsbury Bentley.

Randy had worked as a welder for Johnson Industries. He was the owner of River Run Auger Company and worked in coal mining. He was a member of the Shelby Valley Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years,Tyla Baker Bentley; his three children, Miranda (Justin) Shutt, Megan Spencer, and Makayla Bentley (Michael Inloes); his five grandchildren, Jason, Jordynn, Joshua Shutt, Taylor Brown, and Wyatt Spencer. He is also survived by his three siblings, Kathy (George) Johnson, Patty (Wayne) Robinson, and Greg (Kitty) Bentley; along with many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2026, at Boone Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. George Johnson and Bro. Gregory Johnson officiating.

Randy will be laid to rest in Newman Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Blake Pennington, McKade Pennington, Brayden Cantrell, Izaak Pennington, Justin Shutt, Michael Inloes. Chase Addington, Shane Addington, and Conner Addington. Honorary pallbearers include Chris Sorrell, Josh McDaniel, John “Chewy” Simmons, Dale Smith, Buddy Pennington, and Dustin Feaster.

Visitation for Randy will be 5 p.m., until 7 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg. A service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday night.
