Randy Burris Obituary
Randy loved his son, he was the center of his whole world, spending time with his son was his biggest priority. He liked playing basketball, video games, telling jokes, and kidding around. He was always happy, and happy to be around. Randy was a hard worker and enjoyed working. He was a big Minnesota Vikings and Timberwolves fan. He liked to go ricing and take his son to the park. Randy liked family get togethers, barbequing, hanging with friends, and spending the holidays with family. Randy was a great, caring, and loving father, he wanted to take his son with him everywhere. Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those greeting Randy in the spirit world are his grandparents, Geraldine Stone, Bernard Rock, Woodrow Burris, Sr., Dora Raisch; brother, Adrian Burris; brother-in-law, Adrian Wade, Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, and other family members.
Those Randy leaves behind to forever cherish his memory are his parents, Brenda and Woodrow "Joe" Burris, Jr.; mother of his son, Jacinda Oakgrove; son, Randy Burris, Jr.; brothers, Joe Burris, Sr., Marcus Burris, Sr., Levi Burris; sister, Jessica Rock; numerous other family members and friends.
An overnight wake for Randy will begin on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., and continue until his 11:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, all to be held at the Mission Community Center in Mission, MN. Randy's Spiritual Advisor is Allen Hardy. Those helping to lay Randy to rest are Joseph Burris, Sr., Marcus Burris, Sr., Levi Burris, Menewa Burris, Richard Myhre, Dan Wadena, Ron Skinaway, and Bill Moose. Honorary pallbearers are Marcus Burris, Jr., Joey Burris, Jr., DJ Burris, Mike Burris, Todd Burris, Jerry Rolo, Mike Thompson, Justice Bressette, Leonard Johnson, Makoons, Gerardo Mercile, and Gordy Mercile. Interment will be in Morgan Cemetery in Oak Point/Cass Lake, MN.
Randy's care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences for the family ay be left at www.northernpeace.com

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. I'll always remember when you were a little guy when you came to visit. You always wanted to come over and do fun stuff with us. Then dad put his foot down and said no more, hikes. Then Roland had an iguana, and you asked, "does he bite?" He was in an aquarium and looked so real. We said, "go ahead and pet him and see.." you didn't want to. Finally you built up the courage and reached in to pet him, but he didn't move, and we all laughed.
After Roland passed we knew who his iguana was going to. We love you so much and missed watching you grow up. Remembering you and your loved ones today and always. Your auntie, O'gma.
