Randy Elvington Obituary

Randy Curtis Elvington

May 15, 1958 - March 17, 2025

Randy Curtis Elvington, 66, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Randy spent his life taking care of those around him. His greatest pride came from the love he poured into being a father, husband, and son. Whether he was your family, friend, neighbor, coworker, coach, or fellow Gamecock, you could feel the genuine desire he had to help you in any way he could. Sometimes that meant being quick with a joke to make you smile. Sometimes it meant spending years building a home or a few hours fixing a car for someone without ever asking for anything in return. The time he spent in selfless service of others is an unmeasurable mountain of sacrifice that will live on in the memories of the loved ones he leaves behind.

He was the son of Nera Poston Elvington and the late Joseph Curtis Elvington.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janet Richburg Elvington; sons, Adam Elvington and Daniel Elvington; sister, Tammy (Barry) Fraley; sister-in-law, Dawn (Bill) Reardon; and niece, Lindsay Fraley

Burial was at Kemper Baptist Church Cemetery, 731 Kemper Church Rd., Lake View, SC 29663.
