Randy Emory

Mr. Randy Emory, 59, of Shelby went to be with Lord at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in their burn unit.  He had been employed by STI Textiles and also worked at Esther Mill & Doran Mill until they closed.  Randy was a loving father and grandfather.  He was a member and faithful supporter of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church.  He loved helping others and always put the needs of others before himself.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Floyd "Bud" Emory and Betty Emory and was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Janie Johnson; a niece, Laura Ann Thomas and a great nephew, Dustin Eugene Allen.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Emory Anthony & husband, Kevin of Garner; girlfriend, Betty Hopper of Shelby; ex-wife, Linda Emory of Shelby; brother, Gary Emory of Shelby; two sisters, Carolyn Allen & husband Gerald of Grover and Pam Ruff & husband, Harold of Shelby.

The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory, Thursday, September 27, 2012 from  6:00 to 7:30 pm.  

The funeral will be held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel, Friday, September 28 at 11:00 am.

The Rev. Jeffrey Self will officiate and burial will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family headquarters will be at the home.
