MR. RANDY GEORGE GAITOR, SR., age 77, of 1341 Ponderosa Drive NE, Thomson, GA passed on Monday, May 19th, 2025, at the Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Family members and friends may call at the funeral home. THOMSON FUNERAL SYSTEM, Thomson, GA oversees all arrangements.

Mr. Randy George Gaitor, Sr. was a beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 78. Randy, Sr. Was born in Nassau, Bahamas to George Adonis and Birdie Gaitor Hunter.
He married his high school sweetheart, Paulette Rolle Gaitor on Friday, December 13, 1968, in Miami, Florida. Randy, Sr. joined in the United States Army on December 21, 1968, and was a soldier in the Vietnam War serving as Combat Artist. Being a trained and talented artist, he went to work as Assistant Curator for the U.S Army Museum. Following his tenure with the Army, he began to work for the United States Postal Service where he retired as a Mail Carrier. Still not ready to retire completely, he worked as a Youth Counselor for the South Carolina Youth Detention Center, Aiken County, SC.
On Sunday, June 21, 1970, he became a father to his first-born, Nicola Thresa Gaitor. In the following years he also became father to Kimberly Elizabeth Gaitor, Randy George Gaitor, Jr., Ginevra Michelette Gaitor and Jessica Nicolette Gaitor. Being fearlessly protective of his children, he was an active father in his children's lives.
Randy, Sr. was a father-in-law to Jermaine Barber, Carrington Hardin and Chris Richardson. He was a brother-in-law to Vera (Harry) Henderson, Sharon Rolle (deceased), Gail (Patrick) Parker, Clyde Rolle, Jr., Isadora (Wally) Gross, Dwight Rolle (deceased) and Jeffery Rolle. In addition to a host of nieces and nephews. He is also leaves behind is devoted cousins to Lilly Clark and Rebecca of Nassau, Bahamas. Our Dad loved his Bahamian culture especially the food, this was evident in his daily living: loving conch fritters, crab and rice, coconut candy, oxtails, peas and rice.
Randy Sr. And his wife, Paulette was baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses in 1978. He dedicated his life to serving Jehovah and spreading the good news. Randy, Sr. loved and appreciated the Christian Brotherhood. Randy, Sr. was known for his sense of humor. He was a lover of sports and enjoyed being by the ocean. He never knew a stranger. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and acquaintances.

I was in Ft Eustis va in the army with gator in 1976 1977 he drawd me an a pick of my nice from a pick he was really good i retired from the army 23yrs on of my sons be came a great artist my mother was his grandfather on his mothers side was a national artist he was a pleasent man he will be missed by all that his hands had tuched
