Randy George Hanson, age 68, passed away January 27, 2026, at his home in Wendell, MN.
He was born Aug 30, 1957, in Fergus Falls, MN. In 1961 he moved with his family to Seattle, WA. As a teenager he was shack manager and delivered his Seattle Times paper route. He saved to buy Mag Wheels for his Delta 88 Oldsmobile which he proudly drove into Wendell in 1974 when his family returned to Minnesota.
Randy attended his Senior year at Elbow Lake Highschool where he played football and graduated in 1975.
He worked for his Dad’s Wendell Lumber Yard doing construction for 10 years until he was employed by Cosmos Enterprises in Elbow Lake, MN as a machinist for 37 years until he retired in 2022.
Randy loved to garden, from starting seeds to preserving his vegetables and fruits. He liked to cook and bake. Like so many do, he loved nature, his flowers, birds, wild animals, lakes, camping, hunting and FISHING!
He had a lot of ideas and enjoyed talking about them. While indoors he loved music and movies. Although living alone, he was happy and never felt lonely.
Randy is survived by his sister Vicki (Stacy) Weatherford of Fosston, MN and brother Ron (Laurie) Hanson of Kimberly, WI near Green Bay. Also, his 2 nephews, 2 nieces, 3 great nephews and 1 great niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents Victor & Lenora Hanson and his sister Sherri.
There will be no service held other than the family's private gathering.
