Randolph "Randy" Koeppel, age 71, of Deerbrook, died on November 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 7, 1954 in Antigo, a son of the late Norbert and Caroline (Lex) Koeppel. He married the love of his life, Debbie Parmer on July 12, 1975 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phlox.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1973. After high school his education continued at "Cousineau College". Randy was a dairy farmer in Phlox, he also owned Koeppel Concrete and retired from Duffek Sand and Gravel.
He enjoyed cutting wood, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and sitting around the fire with his warm Miller High Life. His motto was "work hard play hard".
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Debbie; three daughters, Billie Jo (Eric) Burkhart of Pelican Lake, Bobbie Jo (Jay) Vanden Heuvel of Kaukauna, and Toni Jo (Matt) Hofacker of Appleton; two sons, Travis (Shantel) Koeppel and Chase Koeppel both of Deerbrook; eleven grandchildren, Kyler, Keigen, Braylen, and Bentley Koeppel, Caroline, Anna, and Leo Vanden Heuvel, Kameryn Kranski, Randi Jo, Nicholas, and Henry Hofacker; a brother, Terrance (Joy) Koeppel of Phlox; a sister, Penelope Koeppel of Phlox; father-in-law, Leland Parmer of Mattoon; two brothers-in-law, Dennis (Gerri) Parmer of Green Bay, and Daniel (Gina) Parmer of Birnamwood; a sister-in-law, Denise (Joe) Harris of Madison. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and William Koeppel; infant sister, Mary Ann Koeppel; mother-in-law, Irma Parmer; and a brother-in-law, Donald Parmer.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 6, at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox with Reverend Vicente Llagas officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church.
Our hearts are broken by the sudden loss of a loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend - the man we looked up to our entire lives. We find comfort in knowing how proud he was of his children and in the work ethic he instilled in each of us. Though he is no longer physically with us, we will always carry him in our hearts and remember the wisdom he shared. Through the "one-liners" he taught us to live by, when faced with difficult times he would always say, "time will take care of itself."
Missed forever, loved always. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Randy, please visit our floral store.
