I just learned of Randy's passing. I really enjoyed working with Randy. We worked together for 15 years at Hartford Concrete Products. Randy was one of the nicest guys I knew. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Randy was a pleasure to work with, very intelligent in his work to bring industry, jobs, and investment to Ashley and the surrounding area. Most of all, he was a great friend who always had time in his busy schedule to talk and share his thoughts about Ashley and its further development. We worked and spent a lot of time together in Ashley together in 2006 and 2010 to successfully bring the Family Dollar distribution center to town with its hundreds of jobs and important tax dollars to the town. His wife Karen was loving, very watchful for him, and a pleasure to be with too when we all were together in Ashley. I also went to Ashley to visit with him in 2012. I will truly miss him because he was one of the best economic development minds I have ever worked with in my 48 years as a corporate facilities location consultant and the best ever for a small community. Randy was the best driver of economic development in the Ashley area that it has ever had and he will be a real tough act to follow. My sympathies to all of Randy's family, especially Karen, and wish the best for Ashley in his untimely absence.

Ashley had an angel in Randy's mom Shirley, she would be so proud, now he joins her and is looking down on us. God bless you Randy and bless Karen and the family. We are judged by our good works, you had plenty!
