Randy Navarre Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Giancola Funeral & Cremation on Feb. 1, 2026.
Good evening, and on a somber note, today we remember the life of a

man known for his humor, gentleness, and adventurous spirit. Randy

Blake Navarre, who preferred to be called Blake, passed away

peacefully in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on January 27th, 2026,

after a valiant battle with cancer. He will be reunited with his

Parents John and Nell Navarre, and siblings Emma Clemens, Mary Elkins,

and Bernadine Navarre. Born on September 10th, 1968, Blake's

infectious laugh and warm presence will be sorely missed by all who

had the pleasure of knowing him.

Blake leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Matthew Blake

Navarre; his treasured grandsons, Matthew Blake Navarre Jr. and

Maverick Mason Navarre; and his beloved granddaughter, Mylah Mae

Navarre. A cherished brother, he is also survived by his siblings: Joe

Mobley, John Michael Navarre, Marc Navarre, Todd Navarre, Darryl

Navarre. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Whose lives were all

deeply enriched by his existence.

Throughout his life, Blake was a talented handyman, through which he

was able to touch the lives of many. He approached his work with the

same dedication and care that he did all aspects of his life. His

amazing knack for fixing what was broken served as a metaphor for his

approach to friendship and family: with steady hands and a willing

heart.

An ardent nature lover, Blake was happiest when spending time

outdoors, marveling at the elegance of Earth's creations. Well-known

among his friends for his deep devotion to the Chicago Cubs, he rarely

missed a game and could be found cheering on his team with a classic

Old Style in one hand and his favorite slice of pizza in the other.

Blake's life was a portrait of joy and resilience, and his legacy will

continue to be a beacon of light for his family and friends. His funny

anecdotes, gentle nature, and zest for life will live on in the

stories shared by those who knew and loved him. Though his journey on

this earth has concluded, Blake's spirit will remain alive in the

hearts of his family, bringing comfort and smiles to their faces even

in his absence. Goodnight, Blake; you will be deeply missed but

forever remembered.
