Randy James Ostman age 63 of Alborn, died surrounded by his family and friends on Monday, June 16, 2025. He was born the middle child of Thomas and Verna (Breen) Ostman on January 23, 1962, in Cloquet, MN. He started driving truck upon his graduation from AlBrook High School. Randy was a proud member of Teamsters Local 346. He drove for Coca Cola and various pipeline companies. Not a serious bone in his body, Randy made friends wherever he went. Many of whom received a, “Happy Hump Day!” message every Wednesday morning. He was the life of the party, always willing to crack a joke, bust a move, or share a drink. More than anything, he loved making his children and grandchildren laugh. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas.
Randy is survived by his children, Thomas (Danielle) and Sherri (Kurt Connelly) Klassen; grandchildren, Charlotte, Henry, Oliver, Josie, and Freyja; Mother, Verna; siblings, Cindy (Craig) Olson, and Richard Ostman; Nieces and Nephews, Christy (Mike) Ruhland, Cassie (Troy) Williams, Chad (Ashley) Olson, Kori Jo (Jimmy) Booth, and Jamie Ostman; great-nephews, Tye, Wyatt, Connor, Cash, Walker, Bryten, Liam, Arlo, and Grayson.
Randy was our Miracle man. He defied all odds after surviving a horrific traffic accident, living for 10 years and seven months. He moved back to his own house and lived by his own rules, rarely sharing the TV with anyone. We would like to thank everyone who helped out, from opening a door to caring for him. Our community took care of him, and we are forever grateful.
A celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th at the AlBorn Sno Devils, 8491 Swan Lake Road, Alborn, MN, 55702.
600 E. Second Street, Duluth, MN 55805
