Randy Reinig Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Deisler Funeral Home on Mar. 27, 2026.
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Henry Ford Hospital. He was 71 years old. Randy Carl Reinig was born on February 3, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jack Adam and Ruth Lorraine (Teague) Reinig. Randy grew up in Saginaw, and following high school he proudly served his country with the United States Army from 1973-1976. He loved to golf and bowl on many leagues throughout his life. Everyone knew Randy by his wonderful sense of humor even the cheesy dad jokes. Randy worked for Next Door Food Store on Gratiot for a few years. His primary career he drove truck for Kavanaugh Trucking serving the United States Post Office for over 20 years. Randy then worked for Trinity Transportation and Auxilio Services driving school bus for North Charter School. He was always the one to bring a smile to your face.

Randy married the love of his life, Beth Anne Mangutz, on May 10, 1974 in Saginaw at St. Anthony of Padau, Saginaw. Together they celebrated 51 wonderful years together.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Beth; his children: Karl Reinig, Angie (Mike) Gardiner and Melissa Reinig; his special granddaughter, Mckenzie Reinig; siblings: Jack (Karen) Reinig, Shelia Stockford, Mark (Irene) Reinig, Lauri Eckerd, Norman (Ann) Reinig, Paul Reinig and Darrin Reinig; many nieces, nephews, neighborhood kids, extended family and dear friends including, Beverly Richardson.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Mike and Betty (Beach) Mangutz; siblings: Kathie Duby, Karen Quirante, Barbara Wilson and Merril Reinig; his best friend: Duane "Doc" Richardson.

Randy's family would like to express a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care that he received through out his illness from Henry Ford Hospital and the VA Medical Center in Saginaw and Ann Arbor.

In keeping with Randy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Mass to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFMCap will officiate. Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army will follow the funeral Mass.
