Randy Robinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Elliott Mortuary & Crematory - Hutchinson on Feb. 18, 2026.
Randy Robinson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He left this world on February 16th, 2026, from natural causes. He was 70.

Randy was born to Dorothy and Chester Robinson of Hutchinson, where he resided most of his life. He attended the University of Kansas where he graduated with a bachelor's in journalism and a bachelor's in general studies. While Randy enjoyed many chapters in his career, his most cherished was as an account manager for Radio Kansas. There he made many friends and fell in love with public radio.

He married the love of his life, Maggie, in 1983 and had two daughters, Stacy and Melinda. He loved listening to music and playing card games with his family and friends. His other hobbies included reading classic literature, watching sports (especially his beloved Jayhawks), photography, and spending time with his grandson, Deacon. He was a proud member of Grace Episcopal Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister-in-law, Jody Gilley, brother-in-law, Charley Moyers and niece, Jennifer Gilley. He is survived by his daughters, Stacy and Melinda (Katie Gannaway), grandson, Deacon LaGreca, sister, Dixie Coffey (Jay Coffey), and nephews, Shannon and Michael Coffey.

Friends may sign his book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice House of Hutchinson or Bluestem PACE of Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main Hutchinson, KS 67501.
