Randy Shepherd

Great friend, good teammate, awesome heart. Miss you Shep.

My family spent a lot of time at little league baseball games and Randy and my brother were teammates. Those were the best times. He was a great player and I remember is soft voice. I was fortunate to know him throughout high school and so happy to see him again in recent years as he ministered to my son's college basketball team. He was a blessing to so many people. Randy's life was well-spent and his impact will continue on.

Your heart soon will be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I remember Randy from Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church as a young boy. He was a very quiet child and the same age as my older daughter. They graduated from Asheville High and attended UNC-A. He was a very good example of what a Christian should be to his mother and sister and everyone who knew him.

I met Randy when he was a junior at Asheville high school. I was fortunate to know him around the game of basketball. He was a great athlete and an inspiration to many. I remember when he and Jamie started Crossfire ministries. I have been blessed to be with Randy in many places to share the gospel. He was always ready to tell everybody he met about JESUS. Crossfire ministries has touched thousands. I am proud to call Randy Shepherd my friend and brother in Christ. He will be missed by many. I will miss you Shep but I will see you again. Heaven got sweeter.

Bruce and I are deeply sorry to hear of his passing! What a blessing it was for us to meet Randy and to interview him. And, I´ll add this, what an incredible testimony he has and a legacy he left! We all loved and love him still! Until that day dear brother!

Randy joyfully ministered to a class of special needs children at Mission Memphis, Bellevue Baptist Church, 2022. This is he with his great old friend, my husband, Rev. Phil Weatherwax.

Coming out of church one Sunday Randy said, Hey would you both like to go to the Holy Land???
