Randy Jacob Stalder, age 70, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away Monday, July 14, 2025 at Beaver City Manor at Beaver City, Nebraska. He was born February 26, 1955 at Norton, KS to Leo Jacob and Jerry Lou (Spratling) Stalder. He was raised on the family farm in the Beaver City area and graduated from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1973. Following graduation, he entered the United States Navy, where he served his country for 4 years becoming an extremely skilled machinist.

While serving his country, he met Mary Ellen Cassidy. They were united in marriage and to this union 3 children: Amy, Kathryn, and Michael were born. Randy and family moved back to the Beaver City area where Randy started his own welding and machine shop Stalder Repair and helped is father Leo on the family farm. In 1992, Randy was united in marriage to Penny Van Matre Linner and Randy accepted Penny’s 2 children Tyler and Danielle into his family as his own. They divorced in 2010. Later in 2010, Randy met the love of his life Janet Weber. Randy accepted Janet’s daughter Kim into his family as one of his own as well.

Randy was a true pillar of the Beaver City Community. In 2001, Randy received the Business of the Year award for Stalder Repair. Along with running a productive business in the community, he was also a part of many boards. He served on the Beaver City City Council for many years. He was an active member of the Furnas County Lions Club and the Beaver City VFW. One of his greatest passions was being a part of the Home-Owned Furnas County Carnival. He was a part of the Carnival board from 1993 to 2014 and served as the president for many of those years. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing the smiles on the kids faces as they ran freely through the carnival. He was also a member of the Faith Community Church.

In the last few years, Randy spent a lot of his time helping his son Michael set up his farming operation. Randy, Michael and grandson Bryton have spent a lot of time working together at the shop, the family farm and doing custom farming for other people.

Most wouldn’t know it, but Randy was one heck of a dancer and was a talented pool player. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and going to his grandchildren’s events.

He is preceded in death by his father Leo, wife Janet Stalder, brother Gary Stalder, sisters Donna Stalder and Diane Gewecke, niece Kelly Jo Stalder and nephew Derek Gewecke.
