Awendaw, South Carolina - Randy Adams Stockman, 71, of Awendaw, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 25, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Randy was born April 16, 1952, in Newberry, South Carolina, son of the late Jacob Eugene Stockman and the late Audrey Reba Adams McCain. He graduated from Moultrie H.S. and then continued his education at Newberry College. He provided for his family with his career in food distribution sales across the state of South Carolina until he retired. Randy had many passions in his life, he loved sailing, fishing, hunting, shag dancing but most of all loved to coach baseball. He found his greatest joy watching his grandkids play ball. He was definitely their biggest fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by many. He will be remembered for the way he loved his family and for all his years coaching baseball.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Adams Stockman (Tammy) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Matthew Stockman (Amanda) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Jimmy Stockman of Rock Hill, SC; five grandchildren, Dylan Stockman, Madison Stockman, Caleb Davis, Bobby Stockman, Luke Cain; and two nieces, Jamie Duncan, Kristin Hardwick. He was preceded in death by his wife Marion Elizabeth Stockman.
