Randy Allan Wakefield

Randy A. Wakefield, 57, of Kalkaska, passed away at his home on January 17, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1967 in West Branch to David Wakefield and Patricia Combs. Randy was a Lance Corporal and mortarman in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country. Randy married the love of his life Amy Demars on July 21, 1990. He was a self-proclaimed jack of all trades and master of none. He enjoyed meeting friends for coffee every morning, faithfully. He loved his family and friends and treasured his time spent with them. Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Amy Wakefield; two sons Zach and Josh (Kaitlyn) Wakefield; two grandchildren Hadley and Payson Wakefield; father Dave (Gerry) Wakefield; mother Patricia (Bill) Jonsson; siblings Dawn, Lori, Suzie, Jennifer, Billie Jo, Bo, Teri, and Kim; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Jan Wakefield, grandparents, great grandparents and several aunts and uncles. There will be a celebration of Randy's life at 3:00 PM on April 5, 2025 at the Kalkaska VFW Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amy Wakefield, PO Box 1022, Kalkaska, MI 49646. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
