Friendship transends death. The memories we made with Randy will never be forgotten. Saying goodbye isn't for us. We will say that we look forward to seeing our friend again.

I also met Randy on BYC back in 2011. He was so full of ideas, and met life's challenges head on. He was a nice guy and fun to talk with about chickens or just life in general.
We especially had fun when a group of us all had the little "Uggo" chickens.
My condolences to Randy's family and friends.
Life will not be the same with out "RAZ" and he will be missed by many.

Randy and I have been Backyard Chickens friends for many years. I first met Randy in person many years ago on a chicken hand off, he took a few of my little Bantams. It was so sweet to see this big guy cradling a little hen. As will many others on BYC, I will miss his wry humor, good nature, and love of animals. I'm so glad he was able to get out of Garden City and live in Paradise for what time he had left. We will miss you, dear friend.

Randy and I shared a love for animals. We met on Back Yard Chickens many years ago. He had a strong distaste for Uggos (if you know, you know) and I loved them. I visited his home where Randy had chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and honey bees. He was a fountain of knowledge and always wanted to learn more. I groomed his dogs and even washed a baby skunk he found abandoned and cared for. It was always funny to me that Randy was big and burly on the outside, but inside he was gentle and kind. Randy had adopted a puppy that I fostered, as well (sorry about the "devil dog," Randy) I am so sad to hear of his passing. I hope all of the animals he cared for over the years were there to greet him as he crossed over. I thought he would live forever.
