We are mournful to announce the passing of Raquel C. De La Cruz, 87, on Saturday, April 12, 2025. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and mother-in-law. A brave soul who graced our lives with compassion and always put her family’s needs first. She attended Bowie High School and worked at UTEP for many years. She loved to sew, crochet, and spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by son; Michael J. De La Cruz Jr., daughter; Rachel Ibarra, granddaughter; Angelina Ibarra, brother; Feliciano Campa, daughter in law; Janet Livengood, son in law; Jerry Ibarra. She is also survived by many extended family to cherish and honor her memory.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Thursday April 24, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 25, 2024 at our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
