Raul Obregon Coronado Jr.

Raul Obregon Coronado Jr., 63, was called home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2026. His passing was sudden, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words. Though unexpected, his family finds peace in knowing he did not suffer and entered eternal rest in the way he would have wanted, embraced by God's grace.

Raul was born on December 30, 1962 in Sinton, Texas to Raul Obregon Coronado Sr., and Guadalupe Garcia Coronado.

Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Raul Obregon Coronado Sr. and Guadalupe Garcia Coronado, and his brother, Ricardo "Ricky" Coronado.

Raul leaves behind a legacy of love in his wife of 40 years, Priscilla Engle Coronado; his daughters, Christen Coronado, Britney Coronado, Avery Coronado and Destiny Coronado Garcia; and his son-in-law, Caleb Garcia; his sister, Nelda Coronado May (Mac); along with many extended family members and loved ones.

Raul dedicated over 30 years of his life as a Cardiac Sonographer, faithfully serving patients across multiple hospitals throughout his career. Most recently, he was employed at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas where he served as Supervisor of the Echo Department for the past two years. Through his dedication to his work and the patients he cared for, Raul made a lasting impact on countless lives. He not only cared for patients physically, but also spiritually-often praying with them and sharing the Word of God. Raul had a special gift for making others feel seen, loved, and valued, always bringing lighthearted humor and joy to those around him. His legacy of compassion, faith and love will live on through the many lives he touched and the memories cherished by his family and all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM that evening. A burial service will follow on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 1:00 PM at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton, Texas.
