Raven Hogan Obituary

Raven was known as "Sweet Baby" to her family because she was as sweet as pie.
She also leaves two sisters, La'Niya Carruthers and Jakiya Metcalf of Tupelo, MS, two brothers, Monterious Carruthers and Amari Hogan of Verona, MS; her grandparents Cassie (Charles) Turner, Janice Hogan, Danny (Lawanda) Pinson; great-grandparents Lucille (Earnest) Ivy, Ethel (James) Jones; godparents Johnny and Patricia Edwards; and hosts of aunts and uncles. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one special cousin, Santonio Carruthers; granddad Charlie Hogan Jr; and an uncle, Donny Pinson.
To know Raven was to love her. She always had a smile on her face. If she was having a bad day, she wouldn't tell you because she would make sure your day was good. Raven's biggest dream was to graduate and go to college, which she would have because this was her senior year.
She was one that never gave up on her dream no matter what. Raven, you made it baby, now you can rest. You are greatly missed here but you are at peace. Take your rest, baby Girl, and smile on.
A celebration of life service for Raven will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Visitation will be from 2 PM to service time Saturday only. Burial will be private. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 3 PM on Saturday at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.
