Ray Allen

Raymond "Ray" D. Allen's life began on November 4, 1962 in El Dorado, KS; the son of Jerry Allen and Becky Farner. Ray worked hard for his family long haul trucking, traveling all over the United States. In recent years, Ray did short haul runs and stayed close to family. He was united in marriage to Terri Sawyer on September 3, 2005 in St. Mary's, IA. Ray enjoyed watching football, riding his Harley, spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing the drums in his band, R.C. cars, tinkering on vehicles and most of all, having spirited arguments where he was always right. Ray's loving family includes his wife, Terri of Towanda; children Chris (Jade) Allen of Towanda, Lucas Peck of El Dorado; grandchildren Cayde Allen, Jayce Allen, Xaiden Burrell, Lilah Burrell; siblings Angela, Deanna and Levi; parents Jerry Allen and Becky Farner. Ray passed away on February 19, 2026 at his home in Towanda. He is preceded in death by daughter, Shelbi Peck; brother, Brad Sawyer; father-in-law Jack Farner and his grandparents. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 9, at 1pm at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Ray will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns in El Dorado.
