Ray V. "Pete" Aull, 81, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Monday, January 2, 2012, at his home. He was born on February 6, 1930 in Knottsville, KY to the late Edward Hugh Aull and Effie Cecilia Aull Pence. He had been employed as a mechanic for Roby Vending and was a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a Nascar and U.K. basketball fan, enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed Christmas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Wood Aull and second wife, Juanita Payne Aull and two brothers, Edward Aull and William E. "Bill" Aull. He is survived by two daughters, Belinda J. Blair (Ron) and Judy V. Brown (Richard) both of Owensboro; four sons, Gregory W. Aull, Robert A. Aull, Dennis R. Aull and Thomas L. Aull all of Owensboro; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a brother, Thomas "Don" Aull. Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
