Ray Basart

Ray Basart, 62 of Clay Center, died January 12, 2022. He was born on November 14, 1959, the son of Elvin and Florence (Anderson) Basart. Ray grew up and attended school in Clay Center, graduating from CCCHS in 1978. He worked at Big Lakes and Orr's Furniture City. Ray then worked as a welder for Hutchinson/Mayrath for 43 years. Ray was a simple man and and always had a quick comeback for everything. He enjoyed collecting die cast cars and roses.
He is preceded in death by parents and 2 brothers, Edwin and Ron Basart.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 10:30AM in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from from 3-7PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the Kansas Masonic Literacy Center @ ESU c/o the funeral home.
