RAY COVINGTON

RAY COVINGTON Ray Duane Covington, 67, of Milburn, OK peacefully passed away on August 20, 2023, in Denison, TX where he had been surrounded by loved ones all day long. Duane was born on Saturday, November 5, 1955, in Durant, Oklahoma to Raymond Menco and Ruby Inez (Warden) Covington. After Duane Graduated from Silo High School, he pursued a degree in accounting. He married and welcomed two daughters. Before finishing his degree, he joined his then father-in-law, in the beer distributorship business, where he spent over 30 years. Selling beer was what he did for a living, but his true passion was being a rancher, which he was, his entire life. His parents had cattle growing up and Duane continued this endeavor on the weekends during his beer distributorship days, and then took it up fulltime in retirement. He spent the last 27 years with someone special and was also blessed with 3 grandsons later in his life. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond, and Ruby Covington; brothers, Lynn Wayne Covington, and William Chris (Bill) Covington; nephews; Billy Wayne Covington and Chris Covington; aunts, Cleta Fay Kilburn, and Winifred Hendricks; uncle, Guy Covington. Duane is survived by his daughters, Cortnee Dusek and husband Aaron; Coree Covington; grandsons, Kylor and Kelton Dusek, Jaxson McClure; companion, Paula Coonrod; nieces, Theresa Caudle, and Jo Hughes; nephews, Terry Covington, Kelly Covington, Shawn Covington; numerous great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family on both the Covington and Warden sides of the family. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, with Rob Frederick officiating. Family and Friends will gather to visit from 6:00-8:00 Thursday, August 24, 2023.
