Karen and Lori: I'd just recently heard of Ray's battle with cancer, but it sounds like it lasted almost as long as my dear Belinda's. All I can say is please take as long as you need to grieve. We're all different, so there's no set time-limit for grieving. I'm still madly in love with Belinda and it's been more than two-and-a-half years since she died; some days are easier for me than others, but I feel like every other thought that comes to mind is about her.

Tanner: I agree with all the things mentioned about your Grandfather in the obituary, but I have my own memories of him. I really liked his laugh; it always made me feel good to hear his laugh. At work, he'd solve some really tough technical problems and whenever I remarked about that, he'd just say "no biggie" and laugh. I really liked the car he drove (a Mustang Shelby Cobra, I think). He was a really good bowler too, and he made it look so easy, while the balls I threw seemed to head directly to the gutter. He loved your Grandmother, your Mom, and you; and we used to talk about our families and how much y'all meant to us. I think that my oldest granddaughter was born exactly a week after you were, so if I'm not wrong about that, your birthday should be coming up soon. Your Grandfather and I took the two of you to the Plano Super Bowl and I think my score was the worst!

May God continue to bless y'all, now and always!
