My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My mom was Barbara Brett (Smith) and she spoke of Ray often. Mom passed in 2017.

Ray and I were at USM at the same time. At our USM Homecoming game against Chattanooga our senior year, Ray stood at the goal line during warmup at half time and punted the ball - it landed in the opposite end zone - traveling 100 yards!
Ray was amazing and so very talented! I will always remember how kind he was to me when we studied for tests.
Rest In Peace, dear Ray. Sending special condolences of deepest sympathies to Beverly and to his children and family!

I will always remember rushing into the stadium to watch and listen to your pregame warm- ups. The sound and sight of your incredible punts were incredible. Thank you for the memories Mr. Guy. Rest in peace.

Since the First Super Bowl I saw him play, I knew of a great punter on the Silver and Black under John Madden, then a champion again with Gil Flores, and those he played with. A deserved Hall of Famer, Super Bowl Champion, three times, and great representative of the Raiders Franchise, Rest in Peace.

Amazing punter, remarkable overall athlete, a vital contributor to a winning football team, a well-liked and respected teammate, fan favorite, mentor, and a true kicking game sage. It was the Raiders' good fortune to have you on their team, and watching your Hall of Fame career brought awe and joy to all who love football.

Thank you, Ray. We will never forget you, and your greatness. Rest in peace.
