Ray F Hansgen, born April 27th 1944, went home to be with his wife in his home on February 26th 2025 at the age of 80. Born in Columbus Ohio, he was a hard working man who retired from Rite Aide and cared deeply about his family and others. Ray was always willing to extend a helping hand and no matter what was going on or where he was he always had a smile on his face and a peaceful song in his heart. Ray was loved everywhere he went. He was even called A Ray of Sunshine. His greatest passions were fishing, coin collecting, Elvis Presley and most importantly spending time with his grandkids. Ray was survived by brother Richard, sister Patty, sister Betty Jo, sister Carol Ann. Son Richard, son Christopher, daughter Christanna, daughter Rena Lee, daughter Marquite(Richards wife), and a multitude of grands(Jesse, Zach,DJ, Mason) great grands nieces and nephews.
There will be a public viewing held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 12pm with a chapel service to begin at 2pm. Services will be held at Families First at Edwards located at 1166 Parsons Ave Columbus, Ohio 43206. 614-444-3200
