Ray'Jene Donise Templeton, 28, of Charlotte passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Ray'Jene Donise Templeton, affectionately known as "RJ" to family and friends, was born on January 20, 1997, in Charlotte, NC. She was a proud graduate of Vance High School and a vibrant soul who brought joy and creativity to all who knew her.
RJ was the beloved daughter of Donella Ivey and Raymond Templeton (wife Tina Templeton). She was a devoted mother to her cherished daughter, Ava Johnson, and shared a beautiful life with her significant other, Quashaun Johnson.
She was deeply loved by her grandparents, Elaine Ivey, Robert, and Katie Templeton, Donald Sowell and Tina Sowell and her siblings: Lasheka Ivey, Dorsheka Ivey, Keisha and Kevin James, Meeka Eley, Jamareo Caldwell, and Octavia "Cricket" Dixon. She also leaves behind her godmother, LaQuisha Hood, her best friends, Brandi Marshall and Lauren Rippy, who all remained by her side through life’s journey. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
RJ had a passionate love for art and music, always finding ways to express her creative spirit. However, nothing captured her heart quite like all things mermaid, a reflection of her free-spirited, magical nature.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home of Huntersville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 PM immediately followed by interment at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens, Huntersville.
