Some of the great memories I have of my father involved fishing. I remember him taking me and my brother to Pine Lake and catching a basket full of Crappie that we later had a fish fry with our neighbors. I will always remember the fun we all had as a family living on a house boat on Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee. Fishing Lake Erie for Walleye and catching Stripped Bass in Chesapeake Bay was also a great time I shared with my Dad. I will never forget the great times we had on Lake Kipawa in Canada living of the grid catching Lake Trout and Walleye. I was lucky to return the favor when my Dad came to visit me in Texas; we fished the bayous and bays catching Redfish and Speckled Trout. But the most awesome memory I have of my Dad was the time we were fishing Sebastian Inlet in Florida. My Dad and I were fishing from the south Jetties when a school of Tarpon entered the inlet chasing Mullet. We both hooked up immediately and the fight was on. I hooked several but was unable to slow them down and eventually they keep breaking my line. I remember standing back and watching my Dad maneuvering around the uneven rocks like a cat as the waves crashed over him as he fought this 100+ pound Tarpon. He somehow worked the fish around the Jetties and landed the fish on the beach. There is nobody I would rather be fishing with then my Father. We had some great times fishing together and I will really miss that part of my life. I love you Dad.
