Ray Nava Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 31, 2009.
Our very much loved and honored husband, dad, and grandpa, Ray Nava, peacefully passed away and went into the loving arms of Jesus on December 31, 2009 after his second bout with cancer. He blessed us with his caring and loving heart and great sense of humor for 85 years. His favorite time of the year was Christmas as he loved being with his family. We would have the tradition of waiting for him to let us know when we could open our presents at midnight Christmas Eve. Ray would love sharing with his grandchildren his WWII stories. He fought in the Asiatic Campaign as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne, 188th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He was a brave soldier in the Army and brave soldier in his fight with cancer. The family is very honored to call him our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa. He leaves a lovely wife, Mary, a son Ray Nava Jr., two daughters Maria and Gloria, four grandaughters, 2 grandsons, and 2 great grandsons. Our fondest memories are of his famous sayings "don't worry, be happy", and "keep dancing". His family now says -- Ray, dad, and grandpa, We love you very much and we will greatly miss you. You will be in our hearts always until the day we see you in heaven and hear you say once again "Keep Dancing".
