Thinking of you Uncle Ray. You are loved.

How many people can truly say they love their jobs? Ray can and did every single day of his life. He lived out his passion of guns by becoming an expert gunsmith. By attending a gunsmith school , Ray learned how to make and repair guns. The locals of Arroyo Grande trusted and admired Ray with their guns. Ray lived out his dream by dedicating his passion and sharing it with others. What a gift!!

Thank you Uncle Ray for your being true to yourself. You were authentic and genuine
Thank you making a special effort to come to family events and joining in on family zoom calls. It was always a joy to see your face.

Uncle Ray

I think everybody has (and needs) an Uncle Ray in their life. An uncle who they may not have seen that often or known too well, yet there was something about him that was intriguing, mysterious, and compelling.

Every conversation I had with Uncle Ray turned into a learning experience. He was intelligent, creative, and unpretentious -- and always offered a thoughtful word or two of guidance about pretty much anything.

He inherited the Noji gift of artistry. In his case, he was an expert gunsmith. And I believe he was a master at gun drawings as well.

Uncle Ray was also a devoted cat lover. Mom told me the story many times about Uncle Ray bringing home a cat and hiding it in the dresser drawer. Needless to say, hiding a cat in a dresser drawer doesn’t last too long as the meowing begins to penetrate the house, especially during the night when all is quiet. I’m not sure what happened to that particular cat but there were many cats after that who were saved and loved by Uncle Ray throughout his life.

Thank you, Uncle Ray, for bringing your creativity, knowledge, and gentle spirit into the family. We were blessed to have you as our Uncle and Brother.
