Ray Ostrolecki Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wasik Funeral Home - Warren on Mar. 16, 2026.
Ray "Spanky" Ostrolecki, of Eastpointe, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the age of 52. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 4, 1973. Beloved husband of Megan for 25 years. Cherished son of Raymond and Connie Ostrolecki. Dearest brother of Katherine (Keith Altman) Ostrolecki. Loving nephew of Corrine (Ken) Ong, Arthur (Cherille) Paruch, and John Paruch. Dear cousin of Ken, Kevin, Jeffrey, Randall, Jack, and Henry. Dear son-in-law of Dennis (the late Linda) Domurat.

Ray spent his life guided by the belief that if it had wheels and a motor, it was worth his time. For Ray, a garage wasn't just a place to park; it was a sanctuary. He was a "car guy" in the purest sense - someone who saw potential in a rusted frame and beauty in the roar of a well-tuned engine. He also possessed the rare, innate talent for customization and an uncanny ability to to determine a wheel's exact specifications at a glance - a skill that earned him a reputation of being a master of his craft and one of the best wheel men in the industry. His expertise was sought after by everyone from local enthusiasts to high-profile celebrities, all of whom trusted Ray to turn their vehicles into works of art. Whether he was elbow-deep in a restoration project or meticulously maintaining his collection, Ray found his peace in the garage.

Beyond the shop, Ray's life revolved around the community he helped build. Alongside his wife and best friend, Megan, he traveled the country with various car and truck clubs, attending shows and exploring the regional nuances of the industry he loved.

When he wasn't cruising on 4 wheels, Ray was likely chasing the horizon on Lake St. Clair. He found a different kind of horsepower out on the water, spending days fishing and soaking up the sunshine and fresh air while taking in all of the beauty nature has to offer.

Despite his love for loud engines and high-performance cars, Ray also had a quiet, tender side that was best seen at home. He loved his K-9 companions and cherished spending time with them, curled up on the couch taking a nap, just a man and man's best friend, sharing an unspoken love that only a dog and its owner will ever know.

Ray leaves behind his beloved wife Megan, a loving family, and a garage full of memories that tells the story of a life well-lived by a man who was dearly loved.
