Ray Max Replogle, age 68, of Cedaredge, CO formerly of Ely, MN and Wayne, NE died Monday, December 28, 2009 at San Juan Living Center, Montrose, CO. He was born December 6, 1941 in Harper, KS to Glenn and Alice Stark Replogle. He married Susan Malander on December 18, 1971 at Fullerton, NE. He graduated from Lawrence High School, Lawrence, KS in 1960 and received his Master in Fine Arts and Sculpture from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS in 1966 He had been associated with Camp Easton for Boys in Ely, MN for 16 years, and had been a Boy Scout leader for many years. He had retired from being a professor of sculpture and design at Wayne State College, Wayne, NE where he had taught for 37 years. He had lived in Wayne, NE prior to living in Ely, MN. He moved to Cedaredge, CO two years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors especially canoeing, kayaking, fishing and camping. He was a sculptor and maker of fine jewelry. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Delta, CO. He is survived by wife Susan Replogle of Cedaredge, CO, a daughter Sarah Replogle of St. Paul, MN, two brothers; Don Replogle of Waynoka, OK, and Rex & wife Renata Replogle of Cedaredge, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-brother, and his step-mother.
