Ray Lee Robinson was born January 21, 1936 in Taylor, Texas to Gertrude Hutchins and Lorand Robinson. Ray graduated from high school in Taylor, Texas and served honorably in the US Army Airborne. Ray worked for The City of Austin Water and Waste Water department as a truck driver and dispatcher for 27 years. After retiring from the City, he enjoyed his days playing dominos, watching sports, shining shoes and being with his friends at The El Dorado Club House / Top Cat Shine Stand. If he wasn't at the stand, you knew it was Sunday and he'd be back as soon as church was done. Ray was preceded in death by his father Lorand Robinson, sister Nevonia Hutchins King, and brother Lorand Robinson, Jr. Ray is survived by his wife of 36 years, Hattie Nell Robinson, daughter Evelyn D. Jackson, Mac McPherson, Evelyn's mother Lola Williams, granddaughters Emmetria (MiMi) Jackson and Evette Jackson, Nell's daughter and grandchildren Shelly, Peyton, Cole and Graycen Runyan, his mother Gertrude Hutchins, sister Annie L Powell, brothers Larry Hutchins and Ernest Hutchinson, sisters-in-law Sharron Milton, Othelia Milton, nephew Vernell Milton III.

Ray will always live on in our hearts. The lord has taken another flower home to his garden. Ray was such a quiet gentle man. His beautiful smile will be missed for years to come. With love and sympathy to the entire family.
