Rayford Crenshaw II, of Westfield, IN, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born in Elkhart, IN, on October 24, 1952, to parents, Johnnie Lee Sr. and Louise (Jacobs) Crenshaw.
Rayford was the CEO of Crenshaw - Rinehart & Associates for over 40 years, a 50+ member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and a graduate of Ball State University. He was inducted into the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame and was involved in community theater and coached local track and field athletes. Rayford enjoyed worldwide travel with his family, had a million-dollar smile and a heart of gold. He was a member of the recording group, The Mighty Gospel Imperials, and a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; Johnnie Crenshaw Jr.; sisters; Felicia Crenshaw and Patricia Crenshaw House.
Rayford is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Shanklin Crenshaw; children, Kyrie (Ronte) Rose, Qiana (Anthony) Davenport, R. Justin (Gabrielle) Crenshaw; grandchildren; Kierstin, Kellis, and Kylie Rose, Noah Davenport and Josiah Crenshaw; sisters; Carolyn (preceded King II) Dancler, Bobbie (DeKater) Suggs, and Loretta (Raymond) McQueen; and a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (100 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260) with a Memorial Gathering at 10am, an Omega Memorial Service at 11:30am, and A Celebration of Life beginning at 12 noon.
