Our whole Zehntner family will miss Ray's summer visits. He was a very special gentleman and we were always happy to see him, whether with Doc and Bill or with the family. He will be missed

My condolences to Ruth and the Been family. Ray was a warm and friendly person when I visited a few times. He shared his knowledge about birds and history, keeping me enthralled. He made a difference in our world with his knowledge and service to our country, too.

Uncle Ray was a treasure! I loved his stories and zest for life. I truly believe that I love animals so, due largely to the example I had in uncle Ray. He was full of knowledge and knew so much about so many things! Marissa, IL was such a special place to me, because of the Been family. Each member was unique and made me feel so loved and special. Time spent with Uncle Ray and aunt Ruthie was enchanting and I have such wonderful, cherished memories. My prayers are with you, aunt Ruthie. I love you, your kids and grandkids very, very much.
