I know Ray's Family and Friends miss him. I learn at his funeral that his last year of life he read the entire Bible. This inspired me to do the same. I just completed the 365 days of Bible in a Year. R.I.P. Raymond thank you for your inspiration

Dear family of Ray Bennett, I offer my condolences. I share in your sorrow. And I will honor all he has given while he was with us. His path is inspiring and he has shown us what possible through his actions and deeds. He has made the world a better place. Although my time with Ray at Marriott was short, my strongest memory is that he was a good man. He will always be with you.

I remember Ray used to give us tickets to the PEPSI CO sponsored events :) and I Ray crossed me up on the BBALL court when we played, Rose was living in Gross Pointe Park and we played together, and me and Ray was the only black guys out there at the time(we laughed), so we did not want to be on the same team LOL :)

We are neighbors of yours at The Peninsula and are so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was such an outgoing guy, always smiling and friendly. It was such a joy to see your driveway full of cars and filled with family during the pandemic. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I only met Ray through playing golf with him at The Peninsula. You could tell right away what a good person he was and I enjoyed his company on the course every time we played. For his family and friends, please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss.

I knew Ray as a fellow member of our golf club, The Peninsula. I did not know him as others in this comment chain, however, I can say that he was a joy to be with. Complete gentleman.
I am at a loss of words. May he rest in peace, and may his family find the strength to carry on.

To the Bennett Family,
You lost your husband and dad and we lost our friend. He always talked about his family. He was so proud of all of you. Our God acts in ways that we don't understand. Raymond was called by our Lord too early. May he Rest In Peace. Our prayers are with you. Sincerely Mike & Karen

We send our Love and condolences to Vivian and family. We were blessed to meet "Ray" in 86'/87' as he was one of our top GVSU Basketball Players, a Star Minority Business Education Center ( MBEC) classmate, and a fellow native of Detroit, who knew how to make a secluded campus in Allendale, Michigan more fun and exciting. It was a blessing to also spend time with you at our last GVSU MBEC class reunion and receive a front row seat to witness your love for students, your generosity to our scholarship program and your love for the game of Golf.
Enjoy Paradise our friend!
