Raymond G. Boland

Raymond G. Boland, age 68 of Cordele, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2025 at his residence. Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late Armand Boland and Mary Bundrick Boland. A veteran of the United States Navy, Raymond served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an industrial electrician and a member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church. He was a hard worker and a simple man, and always enjoyed time with family. Raymond was an avid NASCAR fan and loved the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Falcons and Braves Baseball. Raymond is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara Stilwell Boland of Cordele; his children, Wesley (Laurie) Herrington of Vienna and Tonya Michelle (Raymond Reid) Herrington of Americus; a brother Jimmy (Claire) Boland of Titusville, FL; a sister, Betty (Bobby) Lamb of Vienna; five grandchildren, Kory Herrington, Steven Reid, Daniel Reid, Kasey Herrington and William Reid; six great-grandchildren, Charlee Jean Herrington, Karter Herrington, Raine Herrington, Reese Herrington Toby Reid and Sissy Reid; and his buddy and constant companion, Ellie. No services will be held at the time.
