My deepest condolences to the Chandonnet family. Mr. Chandonnet was a kind and pleasant man. I was his daughter Celeste's best friend in first grade. I will never forget how wonderful Mr. Chandonnet was to me when I was working through my own grief of losing my best friend at such a young age. I will always remember the Chandonnet family with love in my heart.

Mr. Chandonnet was a superb teacher, one who continues to stay in my memory. I was very fortunate to be in his class for both 7th and 8th grade at Moody Jr. High School. I still have my English grammar notebook from 8th grade and fondly remember sentence diagramming at the blackboard, Rikki Tikki Tavi and Evangeline. I learned so much from him and his class. May he rest in peace!

To The Chandonnet Family:

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Chandonnet. I had him as an English teacher at the Moody School in the early 80s. I will never forget how he got into character when he read Rikki-Tikki-Tavi to us. I also remember how he enjoyed our weekly Wordly Wise assignments. He was a great teacher.

My Deepest Sympathy,

"Chop chop the hands!"
Mr. C's warning to us if we messed up a prepositional phrase.
The Forrest Prime Evil poem by Longfellow that Mr. Chandonnet made us all learn then get up in front of the class and perform it. He would be on the floor laughing at the students who went way over the top in their performances. Such a great teacher, taught us so much more than what was in our text books.
RIP

Dear Chandonnet Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many dear memories of Mr. Chandonnet when he was teaching at the Moody Jr. High School. I was in his class for my two years there 1981-1983. I have to say he was the best English Teacher I have ever had. He would sing songs to us in French but always made sure our lessons were completed. He was a truly remarkable person. I hope you can find comfort in knowing he touched many lives and we are all better to have known him.
