Raymond "Del" Conn age 51 of Seymour, Iowa died Friday morning February 20, 2009 at the Wayne County Hospital, Corydon, Iowa. Del was born March 6, 1957, the son of Raymond "Bull" and Verna "Elsie" (Roush) Conn in Centerville, Iowa. He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1975. Raymond married Becky E. Johnson on December 8, 1983 in Des Moines, Iowa. Del worked for Farmland Foods in Milan, Missouri for ten years. In his free time, Del enjoyed grilling out, fishing, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He loved spending time with his family and was well known for his sense of humor. Del took pride in his white, 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck. He avidly served the Lord for the last eighteen years of his life. Raymond is survived by his wife, Becky of Seymour, Iowa; three children, Delavan (Latisha) Conn of Seymour, Iowa, Megan (William) Fowler of Seymour, Iowa, and Rachel Conn of Seymour, Iowa; two grandchildren, Clover and Skie Conn of Seymour, Iowa; three brothers, Harold (Sylvia) Conn of Confidence, Iowa, Bill Conn of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Larry Conn of Omaha, Nebraska; a nephew, Jake (Mallory) Downs of Ankeny, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Renee Downs of Seymour, Iowa; mother and father in-laws Enos and Fonda Fountain of Seymour, Iowa; and numerous close adopted family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Martha Mickles. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Tammy Haines officiating. A burial will follow at the Haines Cemetery north of Centerville. The visitation will begin at 11 AM, Sunday with family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Seymour First Responders and may be left at or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
