We wish to express our condolences to Sharon and family on the passing of Ray DeVita. It has been our very good fortune to have had Ray DeVita as a special friend for many years. Ray is among the kindest, forthright and most modest men I(RM) have known.
Upon learning of the sad news, I was overwhelmed by a flood of fond memories. For example, I would like to share a couple, I recall my first meeting and playing golf with Ray at The Ridge Club. Ray and I exchanged some small talk then I asked Ray what sort of work did he do before he was a professional golfer. His answer was "I am an engineer with Black and Decker". As we all know this was typical Ray considering his extraordinary resume. On a later occasion playing golf with Ray, he received a cell phone call; it was short and soft. With the call concluded, Ray simply looked at me and said "she (Sharon) worries about me". These four words say so much about Ray and Sharon. So, many, many memories are mine to keep. Likewise, a host of our fellow golfers are similarly and forever endowed with very special memories, thanks to Ray.

BE WITH GOD MY FRIEND

I was so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. Ray's been a good friend for a long time. A true gentleman, Ray and I played many rounds of golf together. Each time was a pure pleasure. My thoughts are with Sharon and the rest of Ray's family at this difficult time. He'll be missed. - Charlie Rogers
