Raymond Fay Obituary
Published by Legacy on Nov. 10, 2025.
Raymond "Ray" Eugene Fay, 87, of Shelburne, VT, passed away unexpectedly to be with his lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, November 7, 2025, with his family by his side. Ray was born in Burlington, VT, on July 24, 1938, to the late Eugene and Patricia Racicot Fay. After graduating from Cathedral High School in 1956, he met the love of his life, Corinne Leduc, and the two went on to share 65 wonderful years.
Nothing brought Ray more joy than being surrounded by family and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. After a life-changing encounter with God, his faith grew stronger, which guided his purpose to walk with Jesus. He devoted himself to serving faithfully at Vibrant Church and dedicated his life to helping change the lives of those within the Department of Corrections.
For years, Ray was the style guru of the Magram's Men's Department. If you walked in looking ordinary, you walked out looking extraordinary! Ray wrapped up his sales career at Sears, selling appliances, where even if you swore you were "just looking," you'd walk out with a shiny new washer and an extended warranty!
Ray was a loving husband, father, Pepe, Great-Pepe (Old-Pepe), brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He touched countless lives and had a beautiful gift for making everyone feel welcomed and truly special. Family and friends would often ask him to give the blessing at a wedding or event, and he would always begin with his favorite quote, "My first name is Ray, my last name is Fay, but they call me Pepe." For many, he was also known as the best Santa, not only because he had the look, but because he had the heart.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Corinne. Children: Julie McLane (Robert), Mark Fay (Deborah), Andrea Leo (Kevin), Aaron Fay (Michele). Grandchildren: Jeremy (Amanda), Jessica (Dave), Kylie (Charlie), Randall (Amber), Brandon (Amber), Austin (Kristy), Amber (AJ), Ashlie (Bryan), Nichole, Carter (Chrissy), Jacob, Calvin (Abbie). Great-Grandchildren will miss his candy jar and cartoon shows – Lila, Charlotte, Autumn, Sophie, Owen, Nora, April, Alexander, Annie, Fallon, Zara, and Fletcher.
He also leaves behind his brother, Roger Fay Sr., and his sister, Claire Silman (Eric). Brothers-in-law, Jared Larrow, Francis Leduc (Deborah), sisters-in-law Jeannie Leduc and Mary Leduc. He was predeceased by his son Robert Fay, sister Evette Larrow, sister-in-law Ellen Fay, and brothers-in-law Maurice, Norman, Emmanuel, and his wife, Val Leduc.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Vibrant Church, located at 2025 Williston Road, South Burlington, VT, 05403. Greetings will begin at 10:00 AM, with the service to start at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Adult & Teen Challenge New England and New Jersey, a Christian recovery program that was close to Ray's heart or https://tcnewengland.org/donate-today/
