I served with Ray in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He offered his boat as a facility, and from it with crews, we patrolled the waters off St. Joseph, Michigan. Ray was the heart and sole of the Michiana Flotilla; a truly special member, friend, and patriot. I will remember him fondly!
