Raymond was a man of many roles: a devoted friend, a cherished family member, and an unwavering veteran who proudly served in the Army. His military service shaped his character, instilling in him a sense of duty and camaraderie that redefined loyalty and friendship. He wore each of these hats with grace, effortlessly blending warmth with a ready quip, ensuring that both solace and joy accompanied those fortunate enough to cross his path.
With a personality that sparkled as bright as the sun, Raymond was the go-to source of humor at gatherings, skillfully crafting jokes that ignited contagious laughter and fostered a comfortable atmosphere. In his presence, burdens felt lighter, and sorrows often found a way to retreat into the shadows. His loving nature knew no bounds, and he extended kindness to everyone, reminding us all that life's true wealth lies in the connections we make.
Raymond’s journey through life will be celebrated and remembered with heartfelt gatherings at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 29, 2025, wake will commence at 6pm, allowing friends and family to share their cherished memories and laugh—as he would want them to. The following day, October 30, a funeral service will take place starting at 11 AM, honoring the vibrant spirit of a remarkable man whose laughter echoed through every corner of his life.
His physical journey will conclude at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on October 30, where he will be laid to rest at 1:15 PM. Here, amid the tranquility of this hallowed ground, his legacy of humor and love will continue to soar high, encapsulating the essence of a man who improved the lives of so many.
Raymond Louis Harris Jr. will forever be remembered as a loving soul wrapped in kindness and humor—an irreplaceable light in this world who taught us all, through laughter and compassion, how to live fully and love deeply.
