Raymond "Drake" Holmes
Age 91 of Andover
Passed away on Nov. 21, 2025. Drake grew up in Duluth, MN graduating from Central High School in 1952. He graduated from Michigan College of Mining & Technology with a degree in electrical engineering. Drake only had one job and retired from 3M.
Drake was a lifetime member of Holy Redeemer Church & Church of St. Peter; where he served on the Parish Council. He lived to play piano for the League of Catholic Women and many other places.
Drake was an active man, skiing, curling, and bowling as often as he could. He could fix and build anything. The entire family has something made by him. He was a cribbage shark and was always ready for a game. His passion was his love of his '46 Chevy. Cars were always a hot topic for him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond H. & Alice Holmes. Survived by his children, Geoff (Ann) Holmes, Pat (Kasmira) Holmes, Tim (Jennifer) Holmes, and Cindy Stacy (Bob Reis); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Christian, Mitchell, Jessica, Tally, and Campbell; great grandchildren, Phoenix and Layla; and sister, Barbara Larson.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials preferred to The American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
