Mr. Jordan was born on November 15, 1942, in Downsville, Louisiana and passed away at his residence in Calhoun, Louisiana on December 7, 2025.

Raymond was more than a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of faith. He was the heart of his family and a friend to everyone who knew him. For sixty-three years, he was married to the love of his life, his best friend, and together they built a legacy of love.

Raymond had a servant’s heart. He gave his best to the people of Louisiana, earning the Dunbar Award, but he never bragged about it. To him, serving others was simply the right thing to do. At church, as a deacon at Calhoun Church of Christ, he lived his faith every day not just in words, but in actions.

He loved the outdoors whether it was hunting or fishing. But even more than that, he loved being with his family. When we were little, he coached his daughters’ Dixie Youth Softball teams. He wasn’t just teaching them the game. He was teaching them teamwork, patience, and how to have fun no matter the score.

And then there was Gracie, his sweet furbaby. If you ever saw them together, you’d know how much he adored her. He’d share his snacks with her, and she’d sit by his side like she knew she was his little buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Gertrude Jordan; daughter, Tina Crusenberry; sisters, Lillian Jordan and Lorraine Jordan McDaniel; and brother, Bobby Jordan.

Those left to honor and cherish his legacy are his beloved wife, Jeanette Jordan; daughters, Tracy Barnes Ward (Johnny) and Ashley Tereze Clowers (Jacob); grandchildren, Brittany Jordan Coughlin (Patrick), Kellie Barnes Norman (Daniel), Jordan Ward, Jacob Bailey (Kali), Courtney Allred (Matt), Caitlyn Scott (Tyler), Parker Crusenberry, and Carson Crusenberry; son-in-law, Greg Crusenberry; and brothers, Eddie Jordan (Brenda) and Perry Jordan (Joy).

Raymond’s life was full of love, laughter, and faith. He showed us what it means to be devoted to God, to family, to friends. We’ll miss his smile, his stories, and his gentle spirit, but we’ll carry his lessons with us always.
