Raymond Kastelic

Raymond Kastelic, 83, of Lower Burrell, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on May 12, 1942, to the late John and Mildred Stanovich Kastelic and had been a lifelong resident of the local area. He married the late Isabel Marie Usher Kastelic on June 13, 1964. Mr. Kastelic worked as a lab technician and welder at Alcoa for 35 years. He also repaired and installed HVAC for his own company, Ray's Air Conditioning and Heating. He was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, tinkering and fixing things, eating, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Denise (Dr. Lawrence) York of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Krista York, Alaina (Damon) Greenwald, Nicholas, Lily, Lukas, and Olivia Kastelic; great-grandson, Noah; daughter-in-law, Lisa Kastelic of Upper Burrell Township; sister-in-law, Patricia Kastelic of Plum; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Raymond L. Kastelic; brothers, Donald Sr., Richard, and John Kastelic; and sister-in-law, Patricia Kastelic. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road, at Alder St., where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mt. St. Peter Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Burial will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery.
